thepansythug:

BBC Sherlock is a lovely show about two humans who meet and become best friends while solving crimes. Everyone naturally assumes the two humans are in love and nobody is bothered by that because it is totally normal and fine for two humans to be in love, so everyone keeps telling them they were clearly meant for each other. But the two friends are scared to mess up their great friendship, and they also each think it’s just them. They fall in love with each other, but they are both sure it can’t really be real. So they get closer and closer to the “oh! it’s you” moment but they back away, dance, they are afraid because their love is really powerful and that is scary. And everyone they know just goes “how do they not see it? it is perfectly normal that they should be in love, so why are they so scared? how come the one human doesn’t know the other human is also in love?” because each human is so scared and full of basic human stuff that happens, and crimes are weird, and it’s all so much, they just want to be together and laugh and be best friends and they think if we try to Have a Relationship we will lose this amazing friendship.

But it all works out in the end and they live happily ever after.

What’s so conspiratorial about that? It’s like every show and movie ever?
