Some people think John and Sherlock will have an angsty, tumultuous relationship, but like. Nah, they won’t for sure. They’d literally do anything for each other. They’ve each proved that so many times. They adore each other. They enjoy each other. They have so much fun together.

Think about them giggling together in the palace. Or at the crime scene in ASIP. Think about John coaching and body guarding Sherlock through the media circus at the beginning of TRF. Think about how proud of each other they are at the end of TEH, when they do that press conference together. Think about John’s soft, happy face as he watches Sherlock hug and kiss Mrs Hudson. Or as he contemplates Sherlock’s lovely parents. Think about the stag night! Imagine that level of intimacy and affection always. But more so, because they’ll be open and confident about their feelings. More touching. More flirting. More LOVE.

At this point they are only trying to hide their romantic feelings out of respect for the other, because they each think their feelings are not reciprocated. When they figure out that they’re wrong about that, they are going to just lavish each other with admiration and affection constantly. They’ll laugh and kiss and touch and flirt all day, every day.
