Canon johnlock is going to make John so soft, though. Just. Remember him beaming at Sherlock at the end of TEH? During the stag night? During the best man’s speech? John is so so soft when he can see Sherlock’s love for him. Not Sherlock’s grand, dragon-slaying, damsel-rescuing love, but his personal, gentle, intimate love. The love that’s about John himself, not about being a hero. When John has that intimacy with Sherlock that he craves so much, it just melts him.
